The #1 (10/30 Mesh) is a very coarse granular mix to be used for heavy scale and/or contaminate removal.  It produces a 3+ mil profile on steel.  The #2 (30/50 Mesh) is a medium graded granular mix to be used for medium scale and contaminate removal.  It produces a 2–2.5 mil profile on steel applications.  The #3 (50/80 Mesh) is a fine graded granular mix to be used for fine profiling and on soft metal (non-ferrous) surfaces.  It produces up to a 1.5 mil profile.  The #4 (80/Finer Mesh) is an ultra-fine granular mix to be used for cleaning delicate surfaces. It is a good substitute in baking soda, corn starch, and walnut shell applications.
